That's a crazy number and you want a slice, right...?

Of course you do... well, here's HOW...

First things first... If you're going to become the next Clickbank Affiliate Millionaire you need to know HOW Clickbank works and how to promote clickbank products...

So How Does Clickbank Work?

Clickbank is probably the best place on the PLANET to go to if you have an ebook and/ or software that you would like to sell in large volumes.

Ebook and/ or software owners go to Clickbank in order to make money from their websites or products.

Person A may have a great salespage for a great product but he needs people to VISIT the site so he can make some money...

This is where Clickbank comes in.

You may not have a product or website of your own (that's fine)...

What IS important is that you understand that YOU are going to make money from the people who use Clickbank to try to sell THEIR OWN products.

Keep reading, this will all make sense :)

So what is Clickbank?

Clickbank has been around for many years and is now probably the biggest single source of affiliate sales ANYWHERE.

Affiliate sales are where a product owner offers another person a percentage of the sale price in exchange for selling the item for them.

So if an ebook costs $50 and the affiliate commission is 50%, then an affiliate will get $25 for each sale they make.

Sounds good...? It should do :)

Commisions can go as high as 75% per sale, so you sell ONE $100 ebook at 75% commission and you'll walk away with $75...

It's a powerful model as product owners make more sales (and more money) and switched on affiliates can make a killing without EVER creating an ebook, software or salespage... it's a "win, win" for everyone.

Other Reasons to Love Clickbank

Clickbank is also popular because it has an inbuilt payment processor.

This makes it particularly popular with sellers and product owners who do not want the hassle of handling payments by credit card, PayPal etc.

Clickbank does ALL of this so neither the product owner nor the affiliate has to worry about it.

Another benefit to the product owner is that Clickbank gives their product a lot of exposure = a lot more people (affiliates) sell their items for them.

Although they have to give away some of their profit, they get more sales.

Best to have 50% of a lot than 100% of nothing... right?

The Clickbank Marketplace

At the core of Clickbank is the Marketplace which can be browsed by category and/or keyword.

Currently there are over 10,000 digital products and services.

The majority are ebooks, software, tutorials, "how tos" and applications - all available to be downloaded directly after purchase.

Whilst many products are in the internet marketing niche (affiliates teaching other affiliates how to make money online) there are also many other products in almost any market you can think of....

Clickbank Gravity Score

Each product is assigned with a "gravity" score.

This is an indicator of how well the product is selling.

The higher the Gravity Score, the more affiliates are promoting it = a good sign = if many people are promoting it, it probably sells...

Clickbank Popularity Score

Products are listed by "Popularity" by default.

This shows you how "hot" a product is RIGHT NOW.

A product that is selling like hot cakes may have a low gravity score if not all affiliates have realised its potential to make sales.

Gravity is a very useful indicator as to how many people are making money from a product but "Popularity" will tell you which product is killing it.

Alongside each product is a short description and details of the commission being offered by the product owner.

More details of each item can be viewed by visiting the sales page of the product itself.

You can visit the salespage buy clicking on the Product Name link.

Once you have decided which product to sell, you create a "hoplink" using the login name you create when you open an affiliate account with Clickbank.

Clickbank even cloaks (disguises) the link for you, so no need to use shortening services like bit.ly (unless you want to)...

It is very easy to open a Clickbank account and approval is normally very fast.

Once you have your hoplink, you can begin to make money with clickbank by promoting this product.

You can place this link on your web site (if you have one) with some suitable promotional information.

Or you can use a hundred other techniques such as SEO, Pay Per Click or Social Networking Sites to get people to buy from your link.

One thing that has made Clickbank very popular is that you do not need to create a sales page or process any payments

When somebody clicks on your hoplink they are take straight to the product owner's sales page.

Clickbank also provide the payment processor.

A small "cookie" is placed on your visitor's browser so that Clickbank records that the visitor has come from your hoplink.

When they buy, the affiliate commission goes to YOU.

You can then visit your own account and view your sales by the day, week or month.

For the first few months, new account owners are paid by check.

After this period, many account holders, in some countries only, get the option of a bank transfer.

Either way you get PAID and paid regularly.

Very few affiliate programs are as reliable and trustworthy as Clickbank.

The great thing about the way that Clickbank works is that it provides the combination of a great marketplace to find new products to promote, a secure payment processor to avoid the hassle of credit cards etc. and reliable commission payment scheme.

Perhaps that is why Clickbank is so successful.

Making money with clickbank can be tricky for many affiliates starting out...
