Internet Marketing - How Do I Make It Work For ME...?

You want to make money from the internet…

You have bought several Clickbank guides and systems…

But you have had NO success…

This is the reason WHY…

The biggest single barrier to your success is YOU, your determination and your self belief…

Not what you expected me to say?

Most affiliates think the key to their internet marketing success is a particular system, guide or affiliate software.

Most affiliates want a solution that requires no work, no effort and no understanding of how affiliate marketing works… sound familiar?

If this is you, then fine… maybe you'll get lucky.

However, is it just coincidence that most people who try to make money online fail?

The maths is pretty simple. Most people want to make easy money from Clickbank and other affiliate programs and most people DON'T succeed.

It doesn't take a genius to realise that most people are going about internet marketing in the wrong way.

I've been in this business for several years and I've sold quite a few guides and systems that I personally have used to make serious affiliate commissions.

My courses are pretty well put together and I am told they are easy to follow, so why isn't everyone profiting from them?

Why do some of my members manage to kill the day job while others don't?

I have seen all kinds of people succeed and all kinds of people fail and I've thought long and hard about WHY this is…

My conclusion…?

I am convinced that determination and continued effort are the key to affilate success.... and success in general.

I see too much evidence that backs this up. Guys who aren't geniuses making  six, seven and even eight figures from Clickbank and other affiliate programs…

So how do they do it?

In many cases, they make mistake after mistake and KEEP ON GOING.

They don't let stuff get them down and they don't dwell on their mistakes, they just keep at it until they make a success of internet marketing.

In my role as author and product creator I try to keep in touch with my buyers and still answer some support emails.

Most guys in my position don't do this but I like to get a feel of how my members are getting on.

The thing that I don't like about answering some customer emails is that so many people talk of refunding BEFORE they even try a system out properly…

This mind set is such a waste of everyone's time.

It seems many people are buying a product with the thought of refunding at the TOP of their mind.

As if they EXPECT this system not to work and if it isn't their idea of 'perfect', they will refund and move on to the next purchase.

From my point of view as a guy who started at the VERY bottom and bought many courses along the road to success, this just isn't the way to succeed.

There are very few, if any, "perfect" systems…

The one system I bought that ended up making me millions of dollars in affiliate sales was a SINGLE page in an e-book.

It was a chapter that skimmed a very basic idea that caught my imagination.

The author didn't go into ANY detail and didn't give any examples.

Now if i'd had the mindset of: "this is probably crap, I'm gonna refund if it is and buy something else", then I would have missed an opportunity that changed my life FOREVER.

Because what I did was make something POSITIVE out of very little.

I took a basic affiliate system, took TIME to understand it - and yes, it took me weeks and months because I was a slow starter and computer illiterate - and i got GOOD at it.

I didn't have much success to begin with, in fact I SUCKED…

I made mistake after mistake and hit dead end after dead end.

It cost me time and it cost me money…

BUT I DID NOT GIVE UP.

I was determined to learn one skill and to become VERY good at it.

I wasn't sure why this was important but I was convinced it was the way to go…

And what do you know…?

After 2, 3 months hard work fitting internet marketing in around my job and family, I started to get GOOD at this one simple skill.

I then developed my OWN techniques: I took a few chances, tried a few ideas out - all based on this one page of an e-book...

And within six months I was making enough to kill the day job FOR REAL.

The reason I'm telling you all this - and it is THE reason - is in the hope to inspire you to SUCCEED.

Rarely does success come overnight and rarely does it come without hard work and self belief.

YOU and your POSITIVE ATTITUDE are the key to your succeeding to make money from the internet and affiliate marketing.

But just being positive is NOT ENOUGH.

You need to truly learn a skill or technique - article marketing, back linking, SEO… whatever the skill is, it doesn't matter.

GET GOOD AT IT.

Don't worry too much about commissions, worry about if you're doing it right and don't give up until you know this skill inside out and back to front.

Once you see the TINIEST of results - and you should do if you've really learn the skill properly - do this over and over again.

SCALE is important in affiliate marketing.

The most successful guys find something that works and do it over and over again…

Makes sense, right?

If X makes me $10 and I do it ten times, I've got $100…

Scale is the key to your affiliate success.

Continued effort, self belief and determination.

With this attitude, chances are pretty good that you will stumble upon something that works a bit better, then better again.

This is what happened to me and a ton of other successful affiliates: we built up slowly but once we had the smallest of success, things improved steadily until our online business eventually 'snowballed' and grew and grew into something VERY special.

I guarantee that the biggest factor in your success is YOU and your attitude.

If you BELIEVE you are capable of succeeding and WORK towards it, you are laying the foundations for success using a mindset that you know other successful Clickbank affiliates have used.

To be HUGELY successful you don't need to be clever or original, you just need to copy the best.

The advice I'm giving you is solid advice and it's based on my experiences and a ton of other people's experiences.

I started with nothing: no idea about computers, no clue about internet marketing, no technical skills.

I bought a few guides, tried a LOT of techniques and finally got the stage where I thought: "Right... I'm just going to learn this ONE thing."

And I got good at it.

My success came from this one decision: to get good at one thing and believe that it would lead to something even better… and it did.

I looked at what the best were doing and I tried to copy them.

I failed more often than I succeeded but you only need to succeed ONCE to start the ball rolling and gain confidence in yourself and your goals.

Copy me, copy any of the seven and eight figure Clickbank affiliates…

Find a skill and get REALLY good at it.

The rest will come if you truly open your mind to success and focus on the positives.

When you buy a guide or a tool, you are buying a little bit more information and help on your path to internet marketing success.

If you tell yourself you CAN do it and you WILL do it…

If you tell yourself this over and over again, BELIEVE it and WORK towards it… you WILL succeed.

Things may not work exactly how you expect, but you will get results.

And most important of all… NEVER, EVER give up.

Hi Mike

As always some great words of wisdom from you and an important message in never give up

I came from a professional sports background where failure was part of the mix, you just have to pick yourself up and try harder next time

The saying a winner never quits and a quitter never wins is also true in this business

Most people go through a low point but you come out much stronger and far more focused

I think there has been a tendency to knock products in the last 6 months and some with justification a few people have behaved rather badly but despite that I believe that the online community will put it's own house in order

I think for people to hear your struggles before you really made it is important, as is the need to focus and to stop chasing the newest and latest thing

Thanks for sharing Tony

Nice one Mike. It does take determination and beleif.... You seemed to go from ZERO to success though pretty quick...6 months is a wow for me...Ive ben plodding with this for years..LOL.. I do agree with your comment on flitting from one product to the next...But we who are on the marketers lists get bombarded with affiliate products all the time so its easy to think.."This could be the one that works" I have a few products including yours and i tend to use them all for different parts of the equation, but if im honest i havent made anything worth writing home about...But hey ho,,chin up etc etc..

Hi Mike

Great post and I totally agree. Determination to succeed is key, too many people think that it will be easy and drop out as soon as it starts turning into real work.

My turning point was when I stopped getting distracted by every product launch, stopped jumping from one idea or another without completing any of them, and set myself some realistic goals. For example, I'm going to focus on 1 site until I have x amount of posts and y amount of booklinks.

Applying my focus in one area let me get a lot more done then jumping from one to another, until such a time where I could move on and apply what I had learnt to several sites and so on.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing what 2011 holds in store for us all!

Regards,
Michael

It is so true what you wrote, and nice to see that you care.

My mailbox got fludded with programms to buy. One should be easier than the other. Salesletters are very tempting in that area and I let myself get sucked into that and became a programm hopper. Hoping for .........

But everybody is responseble for their own happyness, succes and failier and thus for taking out my creditcard and behavior. So I unsubscribed of all the lists and going to focus on only two programms (yours and one other). I will let you know how it goes, if I may.

Maybe I think differently than most people, but I do not believe that in order to become successful with Clickbank, or any other business, you need to believe in yourself, or have a certain mind-set. It is rather a question of whether or not other people believe in you!.

I agree with you in 100 %, that determination is one of key factors of success. Some day in te 90-ties i met US billionaire, who have asked me if I know "what's the difference between success and a failure?" I wasnt't quite sure. He have told me. "The only difference between success and failure - is patience, my son" - he have replied.

I used to have 9-5 (or even 9-9) corporate JOB that I loved. I have worked with passion. But this is the past, since my partner and boss have died due to cancer. Company have bancrupted and 250 families were sent to the street level. So I admire your speed and efficiency, since I have tried to make money online from 2 years, so this ir really encouraging, you made it much faster. Looking forward to learn from you and hope to make some win-win relationship. Since I have managed multi-million $ projects I hope to become GOOD at online business as well. Have a nice day !
